Ravi Rao founded Verge Technologies and assembled the team to bring SentientDB to market. He brought in Jimmy Jobe as CEO and Co-Founder for go-to-market strategy, Dr. Giovanni Morana as CTO and Co-Founder for the patented architecture, and Dr. Daniele Zito as Co-Founder and VP of Engineering to lead platform development. He brings more than 30 years of experience in high-tech enterprise IT strategy, with expertise spanning cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure transformation. Ravi has been recognized for his contributions to national security technology through the National Interest Waiver (NIW) process, reflecting the strategic importance of his work in cybersecurity and cloud resilience. He is a key voice in Verge's market positioning — having identified the "Hybrid is old school, smart engineering" insight that distinguishes Cloud Convergence from the legacy framing of the market.
Jimmy Jobe leads the commercial vision and go-to-market strategy for Verge Technologies. He identified the enterprise market gap that SentientDB addresses — the absence of a truly provider-agnostic, AI-driven cloud convergence platform — and built the commercial framework and market positioning around it. As the voice of Cloud Convergence, Jimmy brings the technical architecture built by Dr. Morana to CIOs, enterprise IT leaders, and strategic partners, with a focus on establishing Cloud Convergence as the definitive standard before competitors can claim it.
Dr. Morana holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Catania and is the architect of SentientDB's patented, service-provider-agnostic platform. His career includes work at STMicroelectronics and the Centro Competenza for software engineering, as well as co-founding Kawa Objects. He has published dozens of scientific papers on distributed systems and databases, co-authored presentations at the Turing conference, and served as co-chair of the IEEE track on cloud computing and database engineering. SentientDB reflects his core research thesis: that autonomous AI-driven management at the infrastructure level is not a future capability — it is a solvable engineering problem today.
Dr. Zito holds both a PhD and a Master's degree in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Catania. His academic and professional work has focused on distributed systems, database architecture, and cloud infrastructure engineering. As Co-Founder and VP of Engineering, he leads the development and technical evolution of the SentientDB platform, translating the architectural principles Dr. Morana established into the production systems that enterprise customers deploy today.
Brent Hucks brings 30 years of accounting and financial experience to Verge Technologies, with particular expertise in startup capital structuring and database management. His background includes both the financial architecture of technology companies at early stages and the operational management systems that support scaling businesses. At Verge, he oversees the financial and operational infrastructure that supports the company's growth into the enterprise market.
